Transform your mindset through experiential learning training programs that
will foster a deeper understanding of what diversity, equity and inclusion mean.
Our philosophy on DEI:
We are different from all the rest…
We take an entirely different approach when it comes to diversity, equity and inclusion than most other practitioners. Creating a DEI strategy, policy, and procedures are great, however, if the people creating, implementing, and adopting these policies, procedures are not genuine, committed to ongoing learning, curious about or even aware of their own bias’ as an individual the organization will not be effective. Mindset Strategies believes in transformaing the individual mindset around DEI through:
1. Mindfulness training
2. Emotional intelligence
3. Experiential learning.
In order to recognize our own bias’ we must first become “present” to these bias’. Are we “present” enough to recognize our own thoughts to be able to transform them into a more open and inclusive mindset? At Mindset Strategies we train leaders to approach DEI with mindfulness training.
The first pillar in emotional intelligence is self-awareness. Part of doing DEI work is “knowing thyself”. As a leader in your company, you can’t possibly be genuine about DEI strategy, policy and procedures if you have not examined your own mindset around the topic, your own bias’ etc. An emotional intelligence approach to the work of DEI is imperative.
Oftentimes it can be difficult to see and understand our own blindspots. We help leaders in organizations recognize their own blindspots in DEI through experiential learning activities. training and conversations through our Let’s Talk series / Connection sessions and more.

HOW IT WORKS
We will begin by understanding your organization’s mindset, through qualitative and quantitative research.
We will create a customized training to provide feedback from the data and if it makes sense provide opportunities for experiential learning.
We have a team of certified coaches that can support leaders’ development in this area through one -on-one coaching. We also facilitate panel discussions / town halls for organizations on various different DEI topics that tend to go under the radar and other topics that come up along the way (code switching / microaggressions)
